Youth Acting Classes for Film & TV: Why LB Acting Studio Is Different
At LB Acting Studio, we train young actors for the real demands of film and television, plain and simple.
Whether your child is just starting out or already auditioning, our youth acting classes help build the skills they actually need: camera technique, script work, and how to be a professional on set. We offer both in-studio (Toronto) and virtual classes, so no matter where you’re located, you can access the same level of coaching.
Here’s what sets our youth program apart.
1. We focus only on film and TV acting
A lot of acting schools cover everything: theatre, musicals, improv, “fun with costumes.” That’s not us.
At LB Acting Studio, we focus 100% on the craft of acting for the camera. That means our youth students learn:
- How to work with film & TV scripts
- How to listen and respond truthfully on camera
- How to handle auditions, self-tapes, and on-set work
- We offer classes for kids, teens, and young adults
We know that an 10-year-old, a 15-year-old, and a 19-year-old are at completely different stages — in life and as actors.
We offer:
✔ Kids On-Camera (ages 10–12)
✔ Teen On-Camera (ages 13–15)
✔ Young Adult On-Camera (ages 16–19)
✔ Advanced Teen On-Camera (ages 13–15) – Previous training with Romy Weltman or has Agent Representation.
Virtual and in-studio spots available. Space is limited to keep class sizes small and focused.
3. In-studio and virtual options
Whether you’re in Toronto or across the country, you can train with us. We offer:
- In-studio classes at our Toronto location, for hands-on training and in-person scene work
- Virtual classes, so young actors anywhere can learn camera technique, audition prep, and script work online, no travel needed
Our virtual classes are live, interactive, and taught by the industry level professional coaches.
4. We teach craft, not shortcuts
We don’t promise agents, roles, or instant success. We promise this:
- Honest feedback
- Practical skills
- A focus on long-term growth
Our students leave with sharper technique, stronger confidence, and a clearer sense of what it means to act for the camera.
5. We prepare young actors for the real world
If your child or teen wants to audition for film and TV, they need more than talent. They need to know how to work:
- How to prepare sides (scripts) on short notice
- How to take direction in the room (or on Zoom)
- How to stay focused under pressure
- How to audition on our mock audition day
We cover all of this, and we make sure it’s age-appropriate, supportive, and challenging in the right ways.
Final Word
LB Acting Studio isn’t here to entertain your child for an hour — we’re here to train young actors who want to understand what the work really takes. If your child, teen, or young adult is ready to build the craft of film and TV acting, we’re ready to coach them.
Check out our upcoming youth classes and register today — in-studio or virtual.
