Marcia Bennett

Marcia is a busy, well respected, actor, mentor, and coach with memberships in ACTRA, CAEA,
SAG-AFTRA and AEA. Marcia earned a BA and a Masters in Theatre before starting her
professional career at the historic Barter Theater in Abingdon, Va. With over 155 credits, she
has experience in all genres of film and TV, plus a keen ability to deconstruct a script and
prepare auditions (both in-person and self-tapes). You can find her in films and TV projects
streaming somewhere every night of the week: She guested as Mrs. Adler in Episode 1 of The
LAST OF US, Dadie Stewart in MRS. AMERICA, and the determined May Silverstone in
SLINGS AND ARROWS. Recent and upcoming projects include roles in the podcasts
WYNONA EARP, Tales from Purgatory (distributed by Audible) and CASCADIA, a Sci-Fi series.
911 Productions (on Apple). Other soon to be released TV movies and series: A MINIATURE
CHRISTMAS, REVIVAL, DEVIL IN DISUISE. Marcia’s training, love of language, innate
curiosity and appreciation of the writer’s intention ensure that no actor leaves a session
confused about the script. Marcia has a proven ability to help actors dig deep for truths and
bring their own personal stamp of creativity and authenticity to auditions and performances.
Having coached and taught for over 30 years, she is so pleased to be celebrating her 11 th year
with LB Acting Studio. It’s a pleasure to be part of the Baumander line-up of excellent coaches
and teachers.
